Think Before They Click
Helps parents and carers understand the risks children face online, and how to talk about them.
- 4 hours
More about this workshop
Think Before They Click is a practical 4-hour workshop designed to help participants better understand the rapidly changing online world and the risks children and young people may face.
The workshop explores online grooming, exploitation, unsafe contact, social media risks, manipulation, AI-generated content and other emerging online harms. Attendees will learn how to recognise potential warning signs, respond to concerns and have open, informed conversations with their children about online safety.
Rather than relying solely on fear, punishment or removing devices, the workshop equips you with the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to strengthen communication, encourage safer online choices and create a family approach to digital safety.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
How hard childhood experiences can affect children, and what caring adults can do to help.

More about this workshop
To help adults understand how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), ongoing adversity and protective factors can influence children's emotional, social, behavioural and physical development, while recognising that ACEs do not determine a child's future. - Strand 2: Becoming a Trauma-Informed Trainer
-
Cultural Competency
Culturally competent, trauma-informed and anti-racist practice, with a focus on Black, Muslim and Asian women and girls.
- 2 days
- CPD accredited
More about this course
The aim of this two-day course is to develop participants' understanding and application of culturally competent, trauma-informed and anti-racist practice when working with diverse communities, with a particular focus on Black, Muslim and Asian women and girls. The course aims to increase awareness of culture, identity, unconscious bias, systemic barriers and the impact of trauma, while developing practical skills to communicate effectively, recognise individual and cultural differences, challenge assumptions, build trust and provide inclusive, equitable and responsive support. Participants will also consider how learning can be embedded into their everyday practice, organisational policies, procedures and service delivery to support more culturally responsive approaches.
