Service Description

Session 1: The Developing Child

In this session we will look at the Early Years. How the child’s brain develops, stages of development, the unconscious and conscious mind, early childhood attachment, ACEs and how trauma is borne.

​

Session 2: The Impact of Trauma on the Child

This session will introduce you to key understandings about trauma and adversity, and their impact on children. It explores the ways that a child might respond to trauma, and how children and families can recover from trauma.

​

Session 3: Understanding Child Mental Health:

In this session we will explore mental health for children aged 0-12 years. It will help participants to identify the factors that support positive mental health in children and understand how the different parts of a child’s world interact to influence their social and emotional wellbeing.

​

Session 4: The impact of Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) on Children.

In this session participants will be introduced to the impact of family and domestic violence (FDV) on children. It gives a definition of family and domestic violence and highlights the impact that it can have on a child’s relationships, physical health, and social and emotional wellbeing.

​
